I know we dont use demands, but last year there were a number of guys (maybe 50%) who's demand was "slot" aka where they were drafted. This year they all have specific monetary demands.

The competition level is an attribute on the player card, but I guess it was only for international players.

4-2 so far against the IL "elite." I'll take that. We are looking pretty good two weeks into the season, and I'm happyt to not see any huge holes in our offense.

The Week in Review

- Kyoden: Baltimore's New King?: Kyoden earned his first player of the week honor in a Baltimore uniform this past week. The Baltimore catcher went .591/.655/1.746 with 3 home runs, 13 RBI, and 6 walks. Can you tell he likes to play in Phillips Field?

- Castor's One More Thing: Castor's patience at the plate has blossomed into what we expected. Through two weeks, Castor has 12 walks and only trails OBP machine, Ivan Garcia, who has 15.

- Wallace's Rampage: Wallace went on a tear against the Washington staff in Game 3 of the series. Ironically, Wallace thought about going for an inside the park HR in the 3rd, but decided against it leading to the completion of the cycle.

Other News
- We hit .306 for the week. Probably should have swept Washington, but I'm not complaining because we pulled one out of our ass against Wilmington, so it all evened out.

-Right now, Amsalu seems a bit over matched in the BLB. Quite glad I didn't try him as a #2 closer. He's got about another two weeks to put something together before he's shipped to Annapolis (AAA).

Next

First taste of inter divisional play. This is where divisional crowns are won and lost, so we've got to show up against our competitors Philly and Batavia.

Carolina Tobs (5-7, 2<sup>nd</sup> in Bock)
This Week- 2-4 (0-3 @ Virginia, 2-1 vs Morgantown)

- Tough series against Virginia. Our pitching just couldn�t match up with the firepower they have and we lost two tough ones after getting stomped in the opener. Morgantown proved to be a better matchup for us though a bullpen collapse prevented a sweep. Our lineup did just fine this week, but we don�t have the lineup to give up 8 runs and still hope to win.

-Pat Gates is off to a solid start to the year, with a .357/.455/.607 line so far. He doesn�t have the HR/RBI stats to support it, but if he keeps these averages those will come.

-Though the official draft class had only been out for a few hours, reports have already begun to circulate that Carolina has made a decision about who they will take with the first pick.

On the farm, only the A Kinston Indians managed to post a winning record, but there were some notable performances by Carolina�s top prospects:

-2B Adrian Romero adjusted quite well in his first week in AAA, going 15/28 with 1 HR, 4 2B and 10 RBI. For the week he posted a line of .536/.588/.786. Romero has been proclaimed the Tobs� second baseman of the future and his arrival in the BLB may be sooner than expected if he maintains this production.

-Prized SP Val Aparicio made his debut in AA and went 2-0 with 1.32 ERA, striking out 16 and walking 5 in 13.2 IP.

-OF Pat Faulkner was named Player of the Week in single A after posting a line of .448/.556/.655 and made his case to be moved up to AA Charleston.

Coming up:

This week the Tobs will play 3 games at home against the hated Playboys before hitting the road to take on equally despised Davenport. An above .500 week would be a good result for Carolina.

Chavarraga Enshrined in HOF
Monday, April 13th, 1992: The Baseball Writers Association has put the crowning touch on Joe Chavarraga's outstanding baseball career. They put the great mound superstar in the Brewers League Baseball Hall of Fame today.

He modestly gave credit to "better than average pitching skills and lots of three-run homers" for making it possible for him to move up into the legendary class of baseball players -- but the sportswriters, his teammates and peers knew differently.

In reality Chavarraga was a craftsman, an artist. He was a perfectionist. He painted a ballgame stroke by stroke and when he got through pitching a game, it was a masterpiece.

By the time he retired at age 43, Chavarraga fashioned an impressive record of 155-81, had an ERA of 2.71, struck out 2400 batters and held opposing teams to a .213 batting average. Chavarraga made 327 mound appearances and worked 2264 innings in his career.

It seemed like it was original owners mostly unsatisfied with the class.

My computer can't upload the export.

It can't upload anything, actually. I go to speedtest.net and my download speeds are where they should be, but speedtest is basically saying that my internet is incapable of uploading a darn thing.

I don't think it's an OOTP issue as my phone is also having connectivity issues. In fact, my entire internet feels like dial-up right now and it's beyond frustrating.

If I can't figure this out before tomorrow morning, will I be able to send an export file via email instead?

edit: Well, that was weird. Worked from Options & Ballpark but wouldn't work from my Manager Homepage. We are good.

Make sure you run both the .exe files this time. One gives you the winning lottery numbers and another will scan your computer for viruses, they should both clean that right up.

You mock me at a time like this? I have Zamarida coming back from time on the DL. I was this close to not being able to activate him from the DL.

In similar news, I think I might have just gotten lucky with a tiny window of my internet wanting to work because I immediately tried to export for another league and still got that 202 error message.

And yea, I tried downloading the settings file from the Owner's Forum. It's not that. It's gotta be my internet acting up.

Week 2 was a good one for the Colonials...

3-0 vs Carolina
3-0 @ Davenport

Highlights:

- Handled the two pitchers from Dallas that we traded to Carolina. My rookie, Rule V kid who came over from Carolina in the deal hit his first 2 career bombs in Game 2.

- Everyone hit

- Pancho was more like Pancho

- Maeda jumps to #3 on the Top Players list

- Perhaps most importantly, my boy Josh Poling is knocking the ball around in Carolina in hopes of making good on my T-Shirt bet. He needs to find the HR stroke, but he's hitting (as I said he would).

Stout action this week. DC and Morgantown. O'Hegarty comes back late in the week and we finally get a look at the lineup we envisioned coming in.

Two weeks of 3 - 3 so far. I'll pretend .500 ball means we're hanging in there until about June. After that, it'll mean we still suck.

Is there a way to determine in-game or through the utilities how one team has fared against another over multiple seasons? It might just be my imagination, but it seems like we give Maine fits on a regular basis. 2 - 1 against them this week. I'm sure I'm just delusional.
