In terms of pure talent, Black might be the best player in league history. He is untouchable.

I'm guessing you wanted him so that you could deal him to another team for some average prospects?

Hard for me not to see Sin City back on top at the end of the year, but looking at Los Lunas I was pretty surprised to see how nice of a pitching staff he has, topped off by Black, of course.

I also agree with the Shavermetric supercomputer that Spectre's staff is what I think holds them back from being the clear division winner. I don't see McEvoy bouncing back at this point (although my scout loves him still) and the rest of the guys all need to step up.

Another Seal of Approval from the Shavermetrics staff...If only I could parlay that into some wins! My hitting will probbaly get off to a slow start with a couple of rookies in the starting lineup. My rotation is 50% old and 50% sub-par. Bullpen will hopefully be a strong suit once I make a couple of roster moves upon my return from the left coast. As they say (and this team has proven)...Just get to the post-season and anything can happen.

Thanks for the write-up Commish. Always good to hear someone else's perspective.

Well, you are 50% of the DL's only hope if history serves right.

(Sticking with the two-team theory for the moment...) I think if we were to calculate a weighted average, Maine would represent 80% of the DL's hope, Los Lunas 20%. Another 10 or 12 seasons and we should be there.

Well if we are keeping up with patterns, Maine shouldn't win another until 1994.

Virginia will probably win the Brewers' until then.

And plus when I drafted him Clay said he liked my pick...so that makes him even more valuable.
