Sunday, March 29th, 1992: Glen Farrell at first refused to leave today's Washington-Virginia game after he suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Virginia reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Farrell out of action for 4 months.
