Goodbye Artie Ward, hello older, not as good Artie Ward.

Also, screw Denver and screw Kenshin Krsnich. Dude's 36 and wants a 1-year deal instead of a 3-year deal for comparable money? Yeah, ok. I hope his arm falls off this season.

I feel like I should issue an advanced blanket apology to all future Pawtucket Owners for this deal...

Also, with Toapanta signing with the Bats, I get a Sandwich pick.

                MMM, sandwich.

I'll miss Joe though, one of the most unheralded starters the BLB has seen the last four or five years. Now, he's finally getting paid his due.

That's not a nice thing to say to a 36-year-old man.

Opio back to Pawtucket. A major reason we pushed late last year. Tried to give him an extension last season, but wanted 4 years.

Able to front load the contract and make a 2 year deal

Lost SP Toapanta seems at the last second to Washington. I just couldnt commit to a 4 years which seems to be how Washington got him

He was a nice luxury I was trying to add, no harm.

Sooooo... you're looking for Starting Pitching.... but trade a team controlled guy who is the #1 Prospect.... throws 98-101 with a 73% GB%... and is ready to be in rotation by mid-season (at the latest)...

                      Interesting choice.

Theodore is back in Pittsburgh for another year.

With reigning Pale Ale Pitcher Carrillo at the top, complemented by Theodore and Nathan, our pitching woes should resolved.

We have a half dozen viable candidates for the last two spots in the rotation, and the leftovers will hold down the pen.

Don't think he would of made it this year. Again could be wrong. And wasnt really looking honeslty, just setting up for possible future trade (and possibly Huerra back to the pen)

Either way, Im good. Just had some money to burn.

Add SP Curt Goodwin and a back-up C. If Godron is ready to possibly start at the bottom of the rotation/swing (or even set-up) and Matsumoto is ready to move into LF in a year, we may be able to start winning some more games. Add in a top 10 pick this season and things are looking up. I'll miss Mapalo and Manny but the returns I got for them give me so many more options.

Hopefully Goodwin works out for you.

He shows flashes of being dominant... but he's never quite put it all the way together.
