Even two years seems long for a 37 year old... but with Cahill being an "original BLBer", I'm sure his ratings will hold for at least these two season. Love the guy. Always partial to him because he's from Detroit. Went hard after him almost every off-season, season, pre-season, deadline... until I got Woodbury. He was really the type of player I built my park around.

Not sure he's what a rebuilding Wilmington team needs.... but he'll rake at my park when the Wildcats come to town.

        That makes two of us.

When I saw the money he got in FA... I had to check to see if he was some international FA that was added to the pool that I missed.

No joking, I had no clue this guy even existed.

Couldn't have said it better. I was thinking that it was either some random generated Free-Agent or a AAAA-type that has been stuck in the minors and had great ratings, according to one teams scout.

I wish you luck with pitcher, Prez.

I thought the same thing. I saw that he did relatively well last year if you exclude the month of June (or it maybe it was May). Nothing special but I'm really wondering if he's that much worse than Goodwin who is going to make twice as much as Michael once FA is all said and done.

My fans apparently knew who he was. They're currently pissed that we didn't retain him.

For the record, I was after Cahill and Nathan. I really, really like both signings. Fuck you...Z and Sully.

Has anybody else downloaded this in game? I did and it finished but the messages were all jacked up. Then I go to free agency and it crashed ootp. I'm rebooting to see what happens.

Our reason for going after Cahill was to put butts in the seats, and make us somewhat competitive. Pretty much every contract I offered, except for Kubota, was 3 years with the 3rd being an option. I'm not looking to lock up older talent for several years while rebuilding. We had about 65 million to spend. I don't think our fans would like it if we decided not to spend anything this offseason. They're pissed enough as it is. With that said, our fan interest is now up to 16, I think. It was in the single digits.

We went after quite a number of guys, but I don't intend to sign them all. If they all agree I'll figure it out.

Yeah...you are probably going to have to redownload the file from the Owner's Forum...

Hopefully he'll be a solid backstop in the coming years.
He was probably going to get $10M in arbitration before I cut him loose. Defensively he's amazing, but I couldn't justify that price tag for a guy who was essentially a second catcher and DH. I think you got a good deal on him, assuming he can get his power numbers back up.

Definitely worried about the power drop.

As is, he's pretty cheap for a starter and he's cost controlled for what should be his prime career years.
