I mean, yes, in a sense, he fell a level and played there till the end of his career... but it still was a massive drop... and it happened in one season.

If it went 80 - 65 - 55 - 40, I'd be happier about it... but then again, not everyone's career arch is like that, anyways.

I mean, it wasn't a bell curve or anything but not that drastic. His innings declined. His Ks declined. Etc.

Some players just don't have it listed in their history. He is long since retired.

Check out Joe Molenza...he might be another good example of a huge decline...and he's not even old. I blame his almost immediate decline on version change. It sucked just a little bit eating the rest of the $22.0 I owed him and cutting him last season.

Why would I be? There have been a lot of guys in MLB history who've gone from a .366/.466/.582 line to a .230/.349/.309 line the next season without some kind of catastrophic injury taking place between those seasons. Perfectly normal career trajectory between ages 37 and 38 right there.
