I was going to say yes, until I saw that while he is 38, he turns 39 in May.

The only active 40 year old hitters are Sergio Lumar, Vittorio Samarano, Juan Coera, and Wilton Harcourt. All of them are free agents.

It's possible Bovey holds out through age 40, but the odds are against him.

I was about to make a crack about how fragile he is, but after looking at his numbers, he plays more often than I thought.

Outside of his broken leg last year, he's played at least 130 games every year since '81, and he's been over 145 in seven of them.

How could anyone answer that question, given OOTP's propensity for old players to just wake up one day and not be able to play baseball anymore. For Bovey, that could happen tomorrow, or it could not happen for the length of his contract. But whenver it does happen, he's probably going to retire with however many HRs he has at the time.

Yes and No.... we certainly see the off-the-cliff.... but wouldn't it be fair to completely judge because of all our version changes.

PLUS... I'm not sure we aren't seeing it done correctly in some places. Look at Wilton Harcourt. Doesn't his career kind of make sense? Power is down... injuries are up.... but when he's available... he still gets on base.
