Would it be possible for us to maintain a master list of which guys are no longer available? There's an assload of trades to sift through.

I like how you trade for everyone worth selecting and then reference how hot the Rule V pool is a few hours later.

Next year I'm posting a message in HUGE LETTERS reminding everyone of the Rule 5 draft so shenanigans don't happen again.

If you look at the last few years, this has been the norm, with a bunch of trades before rule V. I was the only idiot who forgot to protect everyone this year so it was a bigger deal. In the past, it has just been a guy here or a guy there. But how would this be any different if these guys weren't rule V eligible? This same trade could've happened regardless of that.

I don't really think it's shenanigans to make these moves. Shenanigans would've been trading all my guys to a team, only to be later traded back to me (this was suggested to me by one GM who will remain anonymous). I really wanted to do it but decided that would be crossing the line.

Since it has been an issue the last couple seasons, I bet a bigger deal will be made about rule V next year. Which is good so people have no excuse for not protecting their guys.

Well the shenanigan bringer Jim is referring to is me. I thought it would be nice tohelp him out since we go through this crap with Rule V every year. Quite frankly, I don't see how this is any worse than the trade that took place.

I like your motives Prez...I think they are in good spirit. There is nothing bad about trying to help another owner out instead of taking advantage of him.
