  • Draft Pool Discussion (1981)

Any thoughts on the Draft Pool since some ratings are back now???

I know people are going to play specifics pretty tight to the vest... but any general thoughts? Deep? Weak? Top heavy?

I don't remember last year's draft super well... but I think this year's is a little weaker. Maybe better talent at the very top... but I'm not blown away.

There looks to be a lot more talent at the top, but I do agree there will be a major dropoff after the 2 rounds.

Actually my scouts have this as a pretty dam good pool. Even picking late I should get somebody decent.

I agree that the first round talent is solid, but I see a pretty huge drop off.

Then again... my team sucks... so don't listen to my scouts.

              Wow.

Perceval looks like the closer version of Tim Lincecum.

My scouts say this draft is much more top heavy than last years. There's a lot of very good prospects, but it falls off quickly after the initial group.

I'm not sure how much it's been talked about, but one of the tweaks in the new version of the game is the fact that later round guys are more likely to become good players than in the last version.
