Somebody obviously didn't want me in the playoffs, well done. Our streak of going to the playoffs every other year since 1980 is still intact. Next year needs to be different.

In happier news. We had 5 players hit over 20 HR's a piece and 2 over 30. Have we ever had a team with 5 players over 20 HR's in a season?

Congrats to Pawtucket for taking that team into the playoffs. A strong minor league system has translated into big league wins. That franchise will be a young force in this league.

They ended a very short two-year run the Pilsner had on the Wild Card.

I predicted it would take 90 wins to take the Pilsner and that's exactly what it took with the Clowns winning 89 to finish in second.

Denver has now made the playoffs in four straight seasons, which places them among a very small list of teams in BLB History.

Teams with at least 4 appearances in the post-season with longest run in parenthesis:

        Davenport 4 (2)
        Denver 5 (4)
        Los Lunas 4 (2)
        Maine 12 (8)
        Philadelphia 6 (2)
        Washington 8 (6)
        Wilmington 6 (2)
        Windy City 8 (1)

*Hartford and Virginia have streaks of 3 straight seasons - their only times playing in the post season

So, Denver joins Washington and Maine as the only teams with 4 straight post-season appearances. Of course, Denver has a long way to go to be mentioned in the same breath as Maine and Washington, both multiple Brewmasters Champions.

I played a 1-gamer with WC three years ago... so don't I get credit for 4 straight playoffs?

I went by the Utility and it says you did not make the post-season. You did have a one-game playoff so I guess that should be mentioned in there. Perhaps with an asterisk.

That's technically a regular season game.

I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem getting to 4 straight next season.

You might clean sweep an award for the first time ever as well.

We'll see. I feel like PA and SS should be locks. We'll see how the other 3 go.

No, I mean the Stout Slugger award might be all Virginia.

Woodbury and Chavez are #1/#2 locks, IMO.

Maeda could get beat out by a few guys...plus, people hate you.
