Another 2-4 sim for the Tobs, a familiar refrain for this season. We lost 2 more players to injury this week, another all too common occurrence for this team. Luckily I don't think its going to cost us anything. We need to win 2 more next sim to avoid 110 losses.

Dana Scott had a rough week, but our other new call-up Pat Gates had a 1.127 OPS this sim, so that's the positive note for us.

I think it will be close. I'm not saying that Olivo won't win but I can see cases being made for Basil and Kit-Kat.

Two winning months in a row now for this freight train as we move within 1 game of first with a full week of games to go.

First 90 win season in 10 years.....

and we still don't make the playoffs. This was a good year for us, though. We've increased our win total every year for the past five years, however, I'm not sure if we'll play at this level in '92. We're losing a lot of leaders. Our owner is pissed. We can set a goal of 95 wins, I guess.

Since we are throwing out names, just remember Don Castor (1B). I don't expect him to win New Brew, but a few 2nd or 3rd place votes would be nice.

The kid has .269/.336 (not to far below Daly)/.538, 26 home runs and 90 RBI in only 383 AB. Just a guy to keep an eye on, if nothing else.

You should have been here before we had the Wild Card.

I was trying to break my franchise into the playoffs for the first time in their history and in back to back years I fell short despite 90+ wins.

Denver's pitching chose the best time to finally fall apart after a superb season.

I thought it would take 90 wins to take the Pilsner. If any team can get there, they will take it. Not sure that would happen as it'll require Indy or Denver to go 5-2. Syracuse won't be able to get there.

3 GB for Syracuse is a very difficult hole to climb out of here.

I'm thinking they'll have to get at least a 5-2 sim while hoping either Denver or Indy fall apart to a 2-5, while the other goes 1-6. That's a tough thing to bank on.

Indy is in the best situation. They have the two teams they need to worry about in the last seven games with the best opportunity to control their own destiny.

Pawtucket just ran off a 6-0 sim to take a 2 game lead in the Wild Card, but has Maine and Pittsburgh to end the season. And Pittsburgh isn't exactly out of it either. They could still take the Wild Card if the teams in the Pilsner beat up on each other and they win the series against Pawtucket.

                Ah, October.
Or Pawtucket can just hold serve and make the playoffs

Campveroe has hit a league leading 20 home runs since the all-star break. Wow.

Have we ever had a 78 winner win the division??? Im sort of hoping Windy City (or Davenport) does the impossible and knocks out Virginia. Takes me back the USA vs USSR days:))))))

That'll happen no matter how many sims it takes.

I'd argue that my 95 and 97 win seasons, back to back years, is worse then your one year of 100.
