BLB on Hold Until Further Notice

I'm officially putting us on hold until several important bugs are addressed. I tried a few more things and haven't been able to find a workaround. Honestly, I've been getting a little burnt out lately and could use the break so this isn't the worst timing for me.

I don't want to roll back to a previous version because I think it's a lot more work than it's worth and not everyone will be able to roll back due to involvement in other leagues.

I'll probably still work on getting all the changes (uniforms, colors, etc) into the game, so keep submitting those. Also feel free to submit some articles, post in the forums, etc.

I really don't blame you, spending hours trying to get this stuff working has to get old fast.

Markus (lead developer) has a copy of our broken league file and is looking at the issue. No word on how soon we'll see a fix. I think the original schedule was for the next patch to be released in about a month from now. I'm hoping they push out a smaller fix for this issue though, considering the severity of it.

The good news is, we aren't the only league that's seeing this bug. Baseball Maelstrom, which is one of the most popular and longest running leagues around, is having the same problem.

Totally understandable. Makes perfect sense.

It also might be a good opportunity to tweak a lot of the more superficial stuff. Get those UNIs and colors done. Do those ethninticy tweaks. And little stuff that's really less important during regular sims.

Keep up the great work, Andrew. None of us are going anywhere. And, hell, maybe I can even get a couple things knocked off that spring "honey do" list now.

I guess now is the time for people to send their minor league jersey/cap requests into me as well and any easy logo requests.

Yes he does. He has the original offers.dat that is showing California with a projected balance of 400k, etc.

Would it be smart for in the future to have an actual 2 week break between the championship and the offseason starting? Give everyone a chance to take a break and then get back into it full steam

Well, as much as I was looking forward to jumping in feet first with this league, I'm glad you've decided to put things on hold until we get a permanent fix for this problem. Like Clay said, none of us are going anywhere. Until things are working properly, we'll be around.

HAHA, stop it. I assume most of you guys aren't solo players, so you haven't really had the chance to see how much better this game is than last versions. [/end defending the game and all of the hard work the beta testers put into it :) ]

Unfortunately, I'm also in the Baseball Maelstrom so I'm in two leagues experiencing this problem. Luckily the league I just started isn't in the offseason yet, so no worries.

you misunderstood robster... i was joking about how this always seems to happen to use whenever we upgrade/patch the game. nothin' but love for the beta testers...purely platonic of course...
