    I don't like to brag. Seriously, I don't.

I'm a humble man, with humble origins. Seriously, I am.

I'm a family man. A guy who likes to stay quiet, a guy that likes to enjoy his victories. Seriously... I do.

But I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our three game sweep of the mighty Virginia Colonials. In case you don't know what a sweep is, it's when you win every single game of a series against another team.

You know, a lot's been talked about these '91 Colonials. Our guys knew that. Our guys respected that. But, despite all of that, all we did was go up against these unbeatable Colonials and win game one. And game two. Oh yeah, and game three.

A lot of people would go on and on about how they swept these historic Colonials, but I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to go ahead and talk about how we out hit the Colonials 26-18. I think it'd be downright classless to mention how green eyed rookie Mac Aaron picked up two scoreless saves against these intimidating ballplayers. I'd be cocky if I mentioned Mel Woodbury's 1-9 stretch against our pitching.

So I'm not going to do all that.

    Anyways, 4-2 sim. 4 game lead. Ho-hum.

      1-5

Still can't pitch and now we're making up for it by not hitting. After losing Bovey and Athey our season just went in the dumps.

Summer in Batavia brings humidity and losing.

5-1 sim and we're back in it. Swept Batavia in a dominating series and took 2/3 from Baltimore. My A ball and AA team are both doing well in the playoffs too.

Should be a fun September and October. I have three more series with Sin City so its gonna be tight. My starting pitching is horrible but two guys who were good last year (Lewis and Ferrell) both have BABIP well above whre they were last year. Hopefully they pitch to their capabilities in the home stretch.

The offense is on fire though right now.

          LAST SIM TRIVIA

With his 2 HRs, Mel Woodbury joined the elite 30/30 Club in the BLB (30 HR and 30 SB) with sites set on being the only man to ever make the 40/40 Club. Without looking, who is the only other player in BLB History to accomplish the 30/30 season?

You are correct, however, I misspoke. Two guys have done 30/30 prior to Woodbury.

There's actually at least 6 and Woodbury won't be the only one to do it this season.

Wow... I really suck at the utility.

I knew Woodbury wasn't going to be the only this season... but I do think he'll make 40/40.

Stat of the Day is 20/20 seasons, so it wasn't too hard to look up.

When you said there was only one...I was going to guess...Dan Hogan.

But now that there is six, I don't even want to try.
