Draft?

How do you guys want to handle the draft this year? Obviously we'll be using the utility. Would you rather..

Start now with a time limit?

Do it online/live?

Online/Live over 3 nights (5 rounds per night)?

Any other ideas?

Live would be really fun, but I think it would be damn difficult to coordinate. I'd love to try to do like the first round live or something just for shiggles... then move on from there.

As long as you don't break the utility like in the PCBL :).

I'd like to start now with a time limit, so noone is screwed for not being able to make it live.

Of course, I meant after the next sim, so that we have scouting done.

I'd rather wait until after Tuesday's sim. I have a few scouts that are going to take 22-23 days to scout the entire class.

We can't start until we've had enough time to scout the pool, so that's at least next Thursday now, I think.

I'd love to do a live draft, but we had such a big problem last time we tried that I don't know if it would work.

Maybe next weekend would be a good time to try to do a live draft 1st round or something. Maybe Sunday around the time of the SIM? Saturday works for me too because I spend most of the NFL Draft day at the TV and PC.

I ask mainly because Syracuse and I finished with the same record and I don't know what the time breaker is... especially when you consider we never played eachother last year.

With the draft utility people don't even need to send in lists, they can enter them online. There is absolutely no excuse for somebody missing a pick. I'm still trying to figure out how the utility's autopick logic works if somebody doesn't fill out the list.

With scouting, we'd start after Thursday's at the earliest.

The draft order is strictly be record. Syracuse has a higher pick than you because we use the previous year's record as a tiebreaker, and he was worse in 1979.

I don't even know what you guys are taking about with a draft utility.

I definitely don't want to do live...because it just never works. I say forum draft with lists, until I understand what the draft utility is.
