I'm actually quite surprised at how your team is playing after trading away your top 2 starters.

I am too, but it's not like they were lighting the world on fire. Hanrahan had some nice numbers outside of ERA, but was still giving up the runs. Aurillo was just off this year. Not that LaRochelle or Sears are any good, but numbers wise it wasn't much of a drop off.

That being said, we've had a surprising last couple of weeks.

I just saw this. Who's my rival? Mississippi I guess?

I feel like things were a lot simpler when I was Baltimore and Z was Philly and we were both in the same division, because he's the only owner in this league that I really know well enough to hate.

Oh, personal rivals? Now, that's different.

Hmm, I'm not sure who I'd choose. I feel it has to be someone in your division or league, like you said.

Jake realizes that his mother would have never had him if she hadn't shack up with Pedro Zamarida one sunny afternoon during a trip to Cuba she never mentioned. So, I can't hate him.

Ryan is a clown, so naturally I should hate him or at the very least dislike him, but I also don't think we've had enough head-to-head to really make it dramatic. Maybe now if he continues to try to take my throne as the Wild Card winner out of the Pilsner. We can't have that.

Jim was a good rival for a bit only because he never wanted to trade his players in the division. At the time he also had one of the top teams in the league and I naturally wanted to crush him. Now he trades within his division (or at least offers to) and is rebuilding so I hate him in a little-annoying-sister kinda way.

So, what'd you have in mind?

You're already doing it by winning baseball games, sir!

But, you could probably say something about my mama and then I can counter with something about yours. That usually gets the ol' water in the pot boiling.

Oh, head-to-head. I was thinking of something else.

See, I had an inclination to think that as well, but I was not going to entertain you.

Now, if you want to talk about cream pies, maybe there might be some action in it for you too.

                      I mean, in your face.

Wait, that doesn't sound right either.

Oh, in my face. With a cream pie. Yeah, I gotcha.

                          • I do have to say, between both making the playoffs the last couple years and our young vs old 3B, if my team had a "rival," it would probably be Denver. I always look forward to the series and since I've been good (88ish), they've been good. And of course, as soon as I write them off last sim, they go 6-0 and back within two games.

Excuse me, that's a Virginia-like 10 game winning streak, mind you. Denver scored over 70 runs in the last sim. Yes, you read that right. 70 runs in 6 games.

                              Where's the articles?

Well, you're welcome in advance for the bitch slapping I'm going to put on Syracuse and Indy for you this week.
