Mel Woodbury - IL Stout Slugger
Pancho Herrera - IL Pale Ale
And despite the fact that he’s not even eligible for the award I’m going to predict Hector Chavez wins the IL New Brew via a previously undetected loophole.

I’m watching to see if VIR loses more than 40 games this year.

I'm also curious when the season crippling Geoff Scott injury occurs.

I think Philly surprises everyone and wins the IL. Pale Ale, Stout Slugger and New Brew all go to Virginia although I'd argue that Don Castor deserves New Brew as much as anyone. Cesaro Campoveroe gets the annual "Old Guy Who Flourishes in Baltimore Award."

I think the 6-man rotation has been a big factor in keeping my Pitchers healthy this season... that and keeping an extra arm on the Active Roster.

Arlen Spencer, despite some of his numbers, has quietly been a Team MVP. 12 starts... 19 relief appearances.... He's not great, but considering the number of ratings hits he took in the minors after I spent the 5th overall pick on him... he's really been a key contributor.

I've ran the six man rotation (that's what she said) for a number of years. I like it not only because it keeps arms fresh, it also keeps the innings down for the youngsters. Obviously, it's a luxury that I can afford to run with while the Stout (WIL/MOR) are down and the IL WC race isn't close.

It's great, really. Now we got Jim rebuilding his squad. Looking forward to the four-team battles.

                      • What I'm watching...

                        - Virginia taking us back to 1985
                        - Pilsner falling short in the playoffs....once again.
                        - My home attendance hitting about 1k for our final home game.

                        • Every team has a rival. Collectively, the Pilsner's rival is Maine. We care about no one else after each other.

Bless Indie for actually getting to play with the IL one year.

Unfortunately, if we represent the Pilsner in any way this year, you're probably right. We don't have anyone that can go out and throw seven scoreless and our bats always disappear in the playoffs.
