    SIM COMPLETE - 1991 - SIM 17

    NEXT SIM: Tuesday @ 5p

    Note the earlier time on Tuesday. Still undecided on if and when I'm making a permanent schedule switch, but, for now, I'd like to move this SIM to 5p at least for this week and see how it feels.

    Trade deadline has passed.

    I'll run a new IMAGE PACK either later today or tomorrow.

    Pawtucket 0-7. Guess Maine & Pitt told me where to stick my dream. LOL

    Second game of the week:

    3B Vctor Gonzlez was injured in a collision at a base.LF ngelo Opio was injured on a defensive play.MR Ivn Gall was injured while pitching.

    Never recovered.

    Nice to see the injury bug is back. 6 players gone for the whole organization due to injuries.

      5-2 sim, including a sweep of 2nd place Indy.

      The new guys are really contributing. 15-5 over our last 20 and a 4 game lead.

                Going backwards. At least Don McDonald won his second DL Pitcher of the Month Award. Bet he won't even finish in the Top 5 in voting.

                  4-3 (50-55 overall)

                  Good

                  - De Jesus came back to life this week. He hit .320/.393/.800 with 3 HR's and 11 RBI's.
                  - Marin smacked 2 more HR's this week, giving him 17 on the year. The Muckdog record is 21 set by Row Finbow.
                  - The bullpen of Bayer, Petro, Melon and Walters gave up 0 ER for the week.
                  - Rookie Helespontico Jarava continues to play well and my scout think he can hit over .300 with room to grow.

                  Bad

                  - Once again the starting pitching lets us down. Newly arrived Hector Castre had a great two starts while Raul Gonzalez struggled with the flu. The rest of the staff still continues to suck it up. Sasaki (9.00 ERA), Hudder (8.31 ERA), and Colville (9.00 ERA) got the other three starts and failed to do anything good at all.

                  Other News

                  - C Windley is on waivers if anyone wants him. He's hitting .289/.417/.487 vs. lefties.
                  - A new scouting report has some nice developments in the minors.

                          What's the procedure for asking players for refunds due to time missed? Jim Newlin missed the first 2 months of the season, made a welcome cameo appearance for a month and a half and is now out again for 5 weeks.
