Why can't I scout?

I can't scout my own organization anymore. Every time I send any scout to do something I get, "Windy City is already being scouted by _____ _____"

But the thing is, they're not. They don't have anything listed as a task. Am I missing something?

Very strange. Try cleaning out their task lists, if any.

Will it let you scout the draft pool?

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Make sure you don't have them assigned to do something when they aren't busy. It's a 2007 setting that you can set so they don't waste time when they aren't assigned.

But wouldn't still show what they are doing?

I'll have to check when I get home. But it's been this way for a few sims now. I do have one guy scouting the whole league, but that's it.

Is it saying it's already being scouted by your head scout? Isn't it part of '07 that your head scout automatically scouts your BLB team once a month? Even if that's the answer you should still be able to scout with your other scouts to get different opinions.

No. No matter which scout it says by name that they are already scouting the organization.

I had scouts out scouting the entire BLB and when I told them to scout the draft class it asked if I wanted to recall them from their current assignment. I confirmed that I did and off they went.

I don't even get that option. It shows they are doing nothing. Then when assigned it says they are already doing it. But it doesn't if give me the option to reassign.

I'll mess with it when I get home.

Try choosing "Scout Team" first, then switching it to "Scout Organization". I am seeing the same issue when I "act as" your team, but it worked after I chose anything but Scouting the Organization.

Which would suck cuz that would mean I can't scout the minor leaguers. I'll try tonight.

What I meant to say is that after choosing to Scout Team, Scout Organization started working normally again.

Ok, that worked. Very odd. I'll keep my eye on it.

One more weird thing. I sent 4 guys to scout the draft pool. Two guys say it will take 20 days, the other 2 21 days? Don't know why that is. I'm just wondering if there's some kind of connection?

I saw that 20, 21 thing also. Kind of strange.

That is correct. The better your scouts ratings, the faster he can scout things. Also, the better his ratings, the more quick scouts he can do each day.
