An 0-6 week with 4 losses by 1 run and another loss by 2 runs. That's....frustrating.

          Nice finish to the month.

Jeremiah Gray gave up his lonesome run of June. Impressive numbers.

Offense kicking in. Dane Browning with 14 doubles in June. Pitching as effective as ever.

The IL appears to be ballooning towards the haves and have nots.

            4-2 (37-39 overall)

            3-0 vs. Davenport
            1-2 vs. Windy City

            Good

            - The hitting continues in Batavia. After being 12th last season in almost every offensive category the OOTP gods have decided to play nice. This week we hit .335/.397/.565 with 11 HR's!
            - Helespontico Jarava picked up the ROTM award.
            - Bovey picked up the POTW award.
            - 5 players from the bullpen combined for a 0.00 ERA this week
            - 2 errors for the week...a big improvement
            - Ednams and Bovey look like they will both be making the BLB All-Star team.

            Bad

            - Our starting pitching. Once again here are the number of innings the starters managed to pitch this week: 6, 1, 2, 7, 1, 5. Really...three guys didn't even make it to the 3rd inning? Talk about taxing the bullpen.
            - CL Bayer is following his normal "every other year sucks" pattern. This season his 3.86 ERA and 1.31 WHIP are both personal worsts.

            Other

            - We are -7 against our predicted standings, worst in the league. Philly is +4, Baltimore is +5. We'd actually be in this thing if the dice would just get hot.
            - Bovey had a 5 RBI inning against Davenport. He started off with a triple in the inning, scoring Ednams, then hit a grand slam next time he got up. He's on fire as of late so we're hoping to get another strong week out of him.
            - We need a good young pitcher. They seem to be flowing around the league lately and everyone has one but Batavia.

              5-1 (39-37 overall)

              2-1 @ Washington
              3-0 @ Morgantown

              Good

              - Toapanta, Guardmagni and Wilkerson are now ranked 1, 2, 3 in IL SP VORP respectively.

              - Tad Jackson had a big week. 2 HR's, 3 2B's, 1 3B, 6 runs scored

              - Curt Race and Curt Warren both won their big league debuts.

              - Jose Compres hit .435 for the week.

              Bad

              - Bullpen had a 4.50 ERA for the week. Still a major problem.

              - Robby Shannon went 3/27 for the week.

              - Owen Gilbertson isn't handling a platoon in LF as well as I would have liked. Went 3/17 for an ugly .176 line.

              Other

              - Really hope Warren and Race can build on their first starts. Saw some things I liked, some things I didn't. If I want to have a shot at getting back in any of the races, they'll need to step it up.

              - Hitting isn't where I want it to be, but we're getting better.

              - Lead the IL in Zone Rating... might sacrifice some to see if I can put a better bat in the lineup.

              Coming up

              3 vs. Davenport

One hell of an offseason program they run in Virginia.

Believe me, I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop at any moment. I've been killed by injuries the past few seasons, so I won't be shocked if/when it happens.

I have switched up some philosophy on starting pitching (6 deep), pitch counts and defensive subs. Don't know if that's helping or just delaying the inevitable. Probably helps that two of my big injury guys - Nelson and Poling - aren't starters any more.

I'm obviously happy about my teams season so far. When I break it down though... I should be good. Has any team EVER had this many high picks playing? Almost all my important players were drafted in the first 20 picks. I should be good.

That being said the other shoe is going to fall. Just hope I have a good lead. Plus, even my huge budget isn't going to allow me to keep all of these guys becoming Arbi eligible. My window is smaller than it should be.

I noticed the sims are taking longer and longer to post after Clay's "No more bets!" post. Andrew never took this long. It's obvious now. It must take a few extra sims to produce an undefeated sim.
