Lol, guys are cracking me up.

Pawtucket had 2 locks this year.

Victor 'Slider' Gonzlez having an off year and Bob Burleson having another solid season just players performing better at the 2B position in the DL this year.

More importantly, I actually have a PITCHER with some votes!!!!

Wait til Manny Ocampo gets a full year in.

One of my favorite trades ever. To Pitt...SP Noke...to Batavia...Marin and Jud Cobb. Cobb was then traded to Maine for SP Tanner and SP Hudder and a 2nd..which I drafted SP Ivan Martinez with...now the #15 prospect in the BLB.

That my friends is how you start with nothing and make a team! Remember that's two N's in my last name for the manager of the year trophy.

Times are a changing in Batavia my friends...times are a changing. .500 here we come!

(please read with heavy sarcasm OOTP gods...you've already busted SP's Stephens, Hamilton, Sasaki, and Walters...)

Still can't believe the player that Burleson has turned into. I also noticed that Acuna has been hitting for Carolina....fantastic.

Lol, I saw Acuna when I was active for OF earlier this season. Cracked me up.

Bob is starting to get a BIG head. You should see his salary demands for next season. Get the feeling once he gets a "mega" deal he might tank.

He has a 2.68 ERA. He is 3rd in opponents BA. He is 2nd in BABIP. He is 2nd in WHIP. He is 2nd in K/BB. He is 2nd in opponents OBP. He is 5th in strikeouts.

Sorry, but Opio is not getting in over a guy who is having a season like that.

Really? We tried. There was a reason why Buzzell made the roster despite not receiving votes. There is a reason that Hctor Castre made the roster despite a 4-6 record. Clay and I spent a lot of time on this and for you to discredit what we did just makes you look childish.

If you have a problem with the roster, make the playoffs and snub some "deserving" Colonials and Bats. I dare you.

            The guy that says:
"Must have 30 wins to be eligible"
"Must have 25 wins to be eligible"
"Make the playoffs and snub some "deserving" Colonials and Bats. I dare you"

But I'm the childish one. You crack me up, Pat. Really.

Again, shit like this I expect from you. I guess I could dare say Opio deserves to be there over Geoff Scott. Higher avg. Higher slugging percentage. More HRs. More RBI. More hits. Mr. Scott does have more walks and a higher OBP, though. The guy's also batting 50 points below his career average. I guess you could also build a case about O'Hegarty and his numbers despite being surrounded by 5 other all stars, too. But I also do understand the need to balance the roster and its positions, so my apologies to Brad and Clay. I don't want to discredit any of the players that made the team. I'm just a little surprised that some people weren't even considered. Probably 4 or 5 of the guys in my lineup don't deserve to be in the BLB, so I think Opio is having a pretty damn good season despite that.

I'm done. What I said needed to be said. I feel Opio should've received a spot, or even some consideration, and still believe that. 21 players from 5 teams is disappointing, but the majority of those players deserve to be there without a doubt, and strong cases can be made for the others. I'm not disputing that.

Despite what I wrote, I have to say I got more out of him then I ever dreamed of.

One of my first trades. Thanks Pat!

Acuna has been a pleasant surprise so far this season. He's a really hot and cold player though. One week he'll hit .400 the next he'll go 4/24.

I'm happy to see Castre make the team. He's having a very solid season but our team keeps letting him down. Hopefully it's just the first of many all-star games for him. With my team in the middle of our rebuilding mode, I could potentially see him on the move if I could get some nice prospects in return.

The only other player from my team I thought had a chance was Don Alexander, who's having another good year in RF. 2nd in the IL in HRs, 1st in Extra base hits. I can't complain about the OFs that got chosen ahead of him however. Kenichi Sato is having an all-star caliber season, but he was out too long to be considered I'm sure.

Honestly... I really wanted to put a guy from every team on the IL. To me, if Alvarez isn't traded, he makes the team no-brainer. I looked hard at Opio, but what it came down to for me was the four teams without a rep (MOR, CAR, LA and WIL) with only 3 spots.

It seriously was not an intentional snub. I wouldn't do that.

                    • Also, for the record, O'Hegarty wasn;t a manager's pick. No Colonials made it in on Manager's Picks

Scott is on pace for 200 walks. He is going to shatter the current record of 148, probably by August. He is one of the best (regardless of position) defenders in the entire BLB. He's an easy All-Star choice. Every pitcher in the IL would agree. He is having a season like no one has ever had in BLB history.

It's hilarious how transparant you are Chris. I'm half of the IL coaching staff. Half. You continue to lash out at me as if I'm the one who purposefully "snubbed" one of your players for one of my own, when actually, I'd argue the two of the biggest snubs on the entire IL roster, are Washington Bats.

To even take it one step further, you make a case that a Virginia player made it on the roster over your "more deserving" player and then later are apologetic for even questioning it? Give me a break. First of all, that wasn't a manager pick, he was one of the two highest IFs to receive votes that isn't a starter. But I'm sure you knew that.

Again. If you want to "build a case" for All-Star spots, win some games.
