NOW... all that being said... guys he loved and stills loves that I drafted... MANY of them still can't produce. I have a lot of guys well into their 20's that can not seem to put up stats or ratings in the minors. So, I take it all with a grain of salt.

Also, the one other thing about all 3 of my picks that hit Top 100 out of the gate... all 3 were from Feeder Leagues. I can't help but wonder if the Scouts have a better (more defined) look at them out of the gate than INTL guys.
Cook was my favorite player. I'm not saying that Denver knows young pitchers, I'm just saying that many of their pitching picks have appeared in the Top 100 at least once upon a time.

Just pointing that out. And now Pat is enjoying two starts of that. Elprez has Grady. Denver still has the rest.

        Baltimore Bulldogs (33-25; 2 GB-2nd Place)

        1-1 vs BAT

        0-2 at PHI
        2-1 vs CAL

3-4 sim vs. our division rivals and I'm actually happy about the outcome. Without Wallace, things could be a lot worse so I'll take any sim that doesn't drop us too far out of the WC or divisional race.

        The Good

-After a slow start, Coy McPherson continues to make a case about starting on a regular basis, and with a bit of lineup shifting, he'll be our new starter in center field. Last week, Coy was the best hitter on the team going 10/23 with 2 doubles, 2 walks and 3 steals. He's starting to look like his rookie year may not have been an anomaly.

        - With veteran catcher Romano Rodenas slowing down a bit, young catcher Jeremiah Alexander, has been rather bright over the last two years. This year he's platooned against lefties, but I think he'll get a couple of starts against right-handed pitchers this sim.

        - A question that will be asked within the next couple of years: Is Tim Nathan a Hall of Famer? I'd say so. Going into his 15th season, Nathan has become the All-Time leader in games started. Nathan showed his ageless mastery on the mound with an 8 inning, 1 ER, 1BB performance. That led to a 3-1 win against California this past week.

        Other News
        - We completed a trade with fellow Porter division member, Batavia, for All-World defensive infielder, Jack Dynes and reliable reliever, Jeronimo DeLacy. With this trade, we can relegate unpolished infielder, Willie Brown back to AAA, insert Dynes as our everyday 3rd baseman, and hopefully, minimize the carousel of relievers between our AAA and major league rosters.

        - Finally, after 20+ games missed due to a sprained thumb, Loren Wallace returns to our lineup this week. We went 10-9 without him in the lineup which isn't too shabby considering the amount of offense he provided for our team. I doubt he'll hit at his pre-injury clip, but to have him back makes me a bit more optimistic about maybe catching Philly in the divisional race.

        The Injured
Loren Wallace (OF): 3 DAYS/SPRAINED THUMB
        Ron O'Fallon (1B/3B): 6 DAYS/KNEE CONTUSION

        Next

This week we begin inter-league play against Hyundai and Los Lunas. I'm afraid of what may happen against the DL because sometimes we do well and others we just suck. We are mindful of Hyundai in particular, as they are a very lefty-heavy lineup. That is a recipe for success in Baltimore and with the most dangerous young and old lefties in the DL, Kinsey and Keppel, the Dinos will probably have a couple of great days in Phillips Field.

        Predictions: 1-2 vs. HYU/ 2-1 vs. JAV

          Nice.

Friday, June 7th, 1991: The Wilmington manager has confirmed that right fielder Dani Muz will be sidelined for approximately 5 days. He said that Muz has an undisclosed injury, but he would not comment on reports that Muz sustained the injury while awkwardly picking up his child.

At least he was awkwardly picking up his own child as opposed to awkwardly picking up someone elses child, you know, with candy and a van with tinted windows.
