Our pitching is miserable. Gauina and O'Rogan showed some signs of life this sim but as Carlos mentioned, we're all running in neutral.

I know this sounds crazy to say with Maine 10 games over .500, but I think the only team playing good baseball in the past month is Pittsburgh.

Maine is just a rock and the only .600 team, but I don't think even Andrew is entirely happy with how his team is performing. They should be better than 10 games over .500 by now.

Thanks, Carlos. I'm happy with how my gang is playing.

I'm especially impressed with Mac Avery. He's thrown four complete games (two of them shutouts) in nine starts. Actually, since his disastrous first start, he's thrown at least eight innings in seven of eight starts.

Also, it's worth noting that 30 of our 44 games up to this point have been on the road. I'm eager to see what happens when we get a couple nice homestands. Hopefully, our 4-9 record in one-run games improves as well.

              Treading water as of late.

              Second straight 3-3 sim.

Need offense to start to get it in gear.

No, I'm definitely not happy with the way O'Moore, Suarez and Vasquez have pitched up to this point. These guys are usually the rocks of my pitching staff. Losing Raulo Gutierrez for the season didn't help either.

Very happy with how we've been hitting though. McGuire has been a beast and rookie Don Robison looks like the real deal.

McGuire has always been a beast. You know, as I know, that the only thing holding him back from being a top flight superstar is injuries.

Also, has anyone else noticed the massive uptick in OF assist this year?

Rex Knight is already ranked 5th all time in terms of single season OF assist with 19, and we're only 1/4 into the season.

At the rate he's going he's going to finish the year with 76 assist, 53 more than the current record of 23.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

In real life, Shin-Soo Choo lead MLB in OF assist in 2010 with 14.
