    Pick's in. Boom. Roasted.

Took Tadasuke Uchiyama, OF from LSU. Love the stats he's putting up, like his ratings, hate his work ethic. But if he can ever produce like he's doing in college, I'll be very happy.

First and so far only "off my radar" pick was SP Joel Martinez. Didn't even notice him until I looked him up on my list. I don't get the value there, but far be it from me to question Jistic about drafting SPs. I'm sure he'll be just fine.

My scout thinks that Uchiyama easily has the highest potential of any hitter left in the draft to this point. But he doesn't think he is driven enough to reach that ceiling.

          Great pick by Andrew.

Kelly was another guy I looked at... but I was scared away by his two pitches.

I'm sure he'll find a way to be useful in Maine before it's all said and done.

After further inspection, it look like the draft pool has shifted. There are fewer low-risk, high reward guys (20+ old guys with good potential) that can be drafted later than top 10, at least according to my scout.

I'm not sure if its OOTP 11, the feeder leagues, or a combination, but either way I do like the way the draft is playing out this year. There is just enough ambiguity in the picks, but not enough to make you bang your head on the desk.

Glad somebody else liked him. I wasn't really prepared so rushed my pick a little bit. I've been burned by a couple guys because of the two pitch issue but I'm hoping players develop a 3rd pitch a little more consistently in OOTP 11.

                A little late, but....

Sin City took HS CF Ricky Celedon 8th overall. We don't love drafted HS players and we aren't quite as enamored with him as the OSA scouts are, but we like his power ceiling and believe him to be a potential 5-tool player. He's already an excellent fielder and baserunner - hopefully his hitting abilities follow suit.

Other players drafted who were considered at #8: Reyes, Kenner, and Kelley.

My scout has Celedon as the #2 potential hitter in the entire draft. He also enjoys boating, which is a plus.

Philly goes with SS Bobby Estrada at 1.23. I'm not going to lie this pick scares me. I don't feel like I have a terribly good read on this draft class because several of the picks so far have been a little off my radar, but when the time comes you can only go with the information that is provided to you.

Estrada was number 7 overall (5th ranked hitter) on our draft board, so from that angle we're very pleased he made to the bottom of the 1st round. There were a couple of "safer" picks on the board that we liked at this spot too, and we may come to regret not taking one of those options with our only pick in the first three rounds.

                          1.24 - MR Edgar Salazar

                          -97 MPH
                          -Two plus pitches
                          -Very high intelligence
                          -High workethic

I'm really excited to land Salazar. My scout has him as the #4 overall potential of anyone in the draft. Pretty developed already at just 19-years-old. If he never develops a third pitch, he should be a very good RP who can go for multiple innings with that much endurance. If he develops a third pitch, I think he is the steal of the draft.

There were two other guys I considered at the pick...one I'm nervous about his injury history...and the other, I'm nervous about his defensive versatility.

I really liked Salazar. Had him at the top of my list after I made my pick.

I like Salazar, he was on my short list for my pick coming up. I wouldn't count on anyone gaining a third pitch, but he should be a very good reliever.
