Shavermetrics is only a snap shot of the BLB as it exists in a vacuum. Basically, how do the teams stack up on paper. Once humans get involved (trades, call ups, rotations, strategies, lineups, etc.) it really throws off the curve. Not making excuses, just reminding folks that Shavermetrics doesn't disrespect... it just speaks hard truths.
It's not hate... it's math.
In other words, teams that outperform Shavermetrics should take solace in that fact and consider themselves among the better Managers in the league. Those who don't meet Shavermetrics expectations... are Assclowns.

So true. Three straight post-season appearances and only once did Shavermetrics predict it would happen. I think the system is accurate and I'm just so great at what I do that I trump any math.
