Yah, it was a bitch fit. Continue to sugarcoat the mess that is OOTP11. I spent over an hour with the game last night. Work 12 hour days. Find time to spend with your 3 kids and wife after those 12 hours. Play with the game for an hour, only to see that work go to waste. Then, let's see your bitch fit.
I'm not taking the bait. I'm just venting because it's frustrating to spend time with the game and see it go to waste. If I can list the players and protect them, fine. If not, I'll just have to get over it.
Is there any explanation, other than a glitch, as to why a player with a major-league contract would end up in the Rule 5 Draft pool? I thought all players with ML contracts were protected (and on the 40-man roster).
My opening day roster file never made it to the server last season after I spent all that time too and I lost a ton of players and I didn't get them back. Just sayin.

Again, I thought if he clears waivers, designated assignment, then sent to the minors should be off the 40 man roster even with a major league contract. Of course if you did all the above, the owner is looking to move the player anyway.

Agreed, but one of these guys is actually on the "active" roster so its a bit confusing at the moment. Seems to be a OOTP 11 glitch.

Hanrahan's on the 40 and the 25 man rosters. Stuff like this never happened with the old commish.
Hanrahan isn't on the 40 man roster which is why he is shown as eligible. Usually this happens when a player is moved manually due to a waiver trade or something like that. Since he is on the active roster, nobody should bother picking him and he shouldn't be eligible.
Barrows is on DFA so not on the 40 man roster, which is why he shows as eligible. gyro, did you not waive and DFA him?
We have had problems with Rule V draft in the past.
One time, I selected Shelby Houck of Morgantown, even though he was on their 25 man roster, and we just did a trade after the draft to even things out.
Same thing with Sully, whoever else has those problems... I don't see the big deal.
Now, if someone is claiming they made an export, but didn't, to protect a player or two, I think that's a problem... but I trust all the owners to be honest about it, which I think in this case, they are.

Well, those owners can speak now (some already have).
If they have room on their 40-man then I don't have a problem with an owner saying: My export didn't go through because Player X shouldn't be Rule 5 Eligible.
If it happens after the Rule 5, then I have an issue.

No, I didn't waive/DFA him. But I'm wondering now if I screwed up and had 26 players on the AAA roster, and somehow that caused him to be Waived/DFA? I definitely had no intentions of waiving him. I just gave him the 2-yr major league contract at the end of this past season.
