I have very little interest in the draft pick signing feature.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of draft pick signing bonuses. It's a big reason the MLB draft stinks

Being a small budget team in the Porter with some fairly well run organizations, if I do say so myself.
I know it sucks. It's just frustrating to lose every year and never have the money to keep/sign FA's...especially in our tough division. I'm over it now. Good luck in the playoffs next season.

            As for draft pick signings...no.

This is a nice league that doesn't need MAJOR tweaking. Keep the draft signing off.

As for this whole revenue thing. I agree with Matt its not balanced, but neither is the real world. I'll give 2 examples though where revenue did not matter:

Pawtucket = decent revenues, very profiitable for most of its history. Output on the field / HORRIBLE. Hard to believe this year was they're lowest payroll ever. Not with the history of losing.

Chicago = profitable, but dam what a terrible media market. Jistic has to dump players left and right to keep within budget. Output / 7 playoffs. 1 Championship.

Maybe having Pawtucket's resources would have helped OR maybe this forced ownership to develop younger players and keeping a core intact.

The only thing a bigger budget affords you is a chance to cover up your mistakes.

You still have to do a lot of things right to win... but sometimes you can spend your way out of a hole.

                    • Budgets do increase with attendance, market increase, fan interest and wins.

I'm not suggesting it is easy, but not all of the teams that have such high budgets were that high a few years ago.
