Ok here it goes.
Before update:
Paw player expenses = $53,144,660
1990 Team Salary= $48.5 million
OMG...Washington lost!! And the commish and ex-commish are in the Brewmaster's Cup? WTF...ok anyways.
After update:
Paw player expenses = $53,199,969
1990 Team Salary = $49.0 million
Of course it makes no sense to me whatsoever...it's the OOTP financial system.

Pedro Zamarida was sensational. He had the game winning HR in Game 1. Hit a huge grand slam in Game 2. Hit another big homerun in that Important Game 6, but the entire team faltered against Maine's back-end of the rotation.
One thing this proves to me as GM: Murillo and Rodriguez are big-time pitchers. They stepped up when needed to and did everything in their power to will this team to victory. Jared Williamson is a prototypical number 3 starter, but a deeper rotation makes him a valuable number 4. Denny Erwood's time in Denver might be over. Correction: it should be over.
So close to getting to the Brewmasters. Maine once again prevails over Denver. And now we play another season and hope to get here again...
It's so hard.Denver Bulls

I swear he sucked when I was too cheap to pay him arbitration.
I took a gamble either way by paying him upfront money in his two-year deal and then making him a starter.
Then again, Denver seems to have success with finding starters off the scrapheap and making them successful. Could be the ballpark. I don't know. I have a laundry list of free agent starters that have pitched some of their best baseball in a Denver uniform.Denver Bulls

I don't know why I gave up on him so early... usually I'm pretty good about giving guys second/third chances... but when I saw what he was asking for in arbitration, I just didn't see a rebound coming... add in that my scout saw a ratings drop from him... and yeah.
Of course, looking at his stats... his insane BABIP should of given me a hint that a turn around could be in his future.
I guess you just have to learn from your mistakes and move on.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

I saw the guy go from maybe a 6 in whatever attribute to a 5. That could have been a 5.8 going down to a 5.6 (or however the system works). I know it's really a 200-800 scale and I forget where it rounds up.Denver Bulls

It was a great deal for you.
Losing Rodriguez is my second biggest mistake as a GM... second only to forgetting to export the sim before the Rule V draft and thus not adding Rod Phillips to my 40 man roster.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

Mine was giving up on Joe Soto and Arredondo and trading them for what amounted to trash in the long run.
Soto I was convinced was going to decline. To be fair, it still took him a few seasons before he took off. The man got better after his prime. Not something you see every day.
Still, I'm not sure what convinced me that he was on his way down. I look at his numbers and I don't see it, but I had a reason then, whatever it was.
Arredondo wanted to be a starter and I neglected it so I moved him because he was unhappy. At the time, I just wanted an unhappy camper out and received a utility infielder for him. Very bad move.
Heh, if you play six degrees of separation, Denver helped Virginia pick up their amazing power hitter Woodbury.Last edited by Carlos; 08-19-2010, 12:21 PM.Denver Bulls
