I hate those. Julian Murillo's last six starts:

    9/19: 8.2 IP, 2 ER (ND)
    9/12: 7.0 IP, 1 ER (Loss)
    9/06: 3.2 IP, 5 ER (Loss)
    8/31: 7.0 IP, 3 ER (Loss)
    8/24: 7.1 IP, 1 ER (Loss)
    8/14: 7.0 IP, 3 ER (Loss)

Over a month ago he was 12-5 with a 2.66 ERA. He has allowed no more than 3 ER over 7 IP in five of his last six starts, has taken a loss in five of them and is now 12-10 with a 2.74 ERA.

Denver knows that no one is beating out Tino Suarez and Manny Mendez, but someone would have been in the discussion for the third spot if Murillo was, say, 16-6 with a 2.74 ERA.

Eh, it comes with it. Offense doesn't support your guy and they don't benefit.

09-19-1990 Injured (partially torn UCL (Tommy John surgery)), out for 8-9 months.
After 7.5 seasons giving us consistently solid performances and holding down various spots in our bullpen during the Colonials rebuilding years... well... building years... this looks like it will be the end of George McSwain in Virginia.

Brought in from Indianapolis for a 5th Round pick, McSwain has played just about every role for us in the 'Pen. He'll be missed. Especially in a potential playoff run and he was one of the few really bright spots in our pen last post-season.
      The Great One!

      To many rings to count...

That's a name that will be very odd not seeing on Virginia's roster.

            4-2

            1-2 vs. Cali
            3-0 vs. Chicago

Some decent pitching performances highlighted by a few flashes of brilliance hitting. SS MacGruder hurt his back running the bases but so far he's hitting .258/.314/.371 with 1 HR and 11 RBI's in 19 games. We can only hope he continues to grow and combined with Ednams and Jesus gives us a pretty decent IF.

            Our final few weeks:

            3 @ Wilm
            3 vs. Balt
            3 vs. Cali
            3 @ Phi

Talk about ending it right against the best division in the BLB. With 320 wins so far by the Porter we're excited to be 74-76 and still have a shot at our 1st above .500 season...especially since we played 22 games against Philly!
