Thanks, Pat. Down to the final 2 weeks.

I play a lot against the Stout in the final two weeks. Talk about interesting.

I'm glad you noticed the effort.

Oh...but don't think I'm going easy on you. I fully expect Baltimore to leave D.C. winless.

You just might. I think we at least have a chance in Game #3 with Brooks vs. Nathan, although I'll take my chances with Garcia vs. Carlton as well.

Except for the big win at home during the rainout this past week, our offense has short-circuited a bit. Hopefully we can find the swing in Washington. We're going to need it since Virginia gets 3 freebies next week.

This Denver team is extremely disappointing.

            Freebies?

We essentially have the same schedule. We both play all three division teams and a 1st place playoff team from another division. I've lost two starting pitcher, my starting CF and a key 'pen arm in the last two weeks. There are no freebies when the injuries start free-flowing.

            ***

Not a good SIM this week, but long story short is I go into the final 13 games controlling my own destiny. All 13 are at home. Barring injury, by the end of this next SIM I should have my Starting 5 back (Collins back beginning, McQueen back end of SIM).

I feel like this SIM likely knocked Woodbury out of the Stout Slugger race. He'll need to be great the last two weeks to bring it back home. He's just been ice cold for the last 4 weeks.

Conversely, I feel like Magness continues to put himself back in the conversation for at least Top 3 in the Pale Ale.

              .......

Wait. Let me read that again.

              ........

              @ Washington and @ Batavia (combined: 169W - 131L)

              or

vs. Chicago and vs. Morgantown (combined: 120W - 178L)

              Would you care to switch?
              Really I don't mind.

Wait... so... we're not supposed to play the teams in our division? We have the same schedule (as I explained above)... all 3 teams in our own division plus a 1st place team/playoff team.

What does the home and away mean? We all play 81 at home. I somehow got a better schedule because I've played my roads already?

But... most importantly... one of us is not worried about the other team and simply paying attention to my own games.

Probably our best sim of the season.

Sounds about right for how this season has gone.

                    You dominated me.

Too little too late for the Kodiaks it seems.

                        Back to the playoffs!

Would love to get home field so we're gonna keep playing hard for the most part.

I wouldn't know, I only pay attention to my team. This bus doesn't have a rearview mirror.

Probably not something Pittsburgh wants to hear, but I think the DL Playoff Spots are locked up. It would take a collapse of epic proportions along with a great Pittsburgh two weeks to catch up.

Denver plays .500 ball (which seems to be the case since June) then Pittsburgh will have to go 12-1 in their last 13 games.

I think we are officially the worst team in the league right now. About the only bright spot was a solid start from Raul Gonzalez. He got the L, but still threw 7 quality innings. It's all about the future in Carolina.
