A 3-3 week for the Tobs. Raul Gonzalez's BLB debut was a success: 8IP, 6H, 0R, 7K, 0BB. He figures to be one of our key starting pitchers going forward so it's good to see him get off to a good start.

Man, too bad Manny Puerias looks like he's washed up now. I might have to eat his contract and take the financial hit soon.

Despite the losses, it was an entertaining series between VIR/BAL...still only 1.5 games back. So we'll need to take care of business next week and help from the Stout.

Does OOTP use the same "before Sept." min requirements for Rookie of the Year consideration?

Assuming I understand what you mean, the answer is no.

I called up Browning for September a few years ago and because of his service time, lost ROY qualification for his first full season.

Exactly what I was asking. Thank you, sir.

                          From the OOTP manual:

Any player who had fewer than 130 at-bats or 25 innings pitched in his career before the start of the season is considered to be a "rookie".
                          From our rules page:

Rookie eligibility is: A player with less than 130 at-bats, a pitcher with less than 50 innings pitched.
So, in game and by our rules, batters are treated the same. For pitchers, in-game filtering for rookies would stop at 25 IP but according to our rules they lose eligibility at 50 IP.

It's strange that in both, MLB and BLB, it's at-bats. It really should be based on plate appearances.

A commanding 5 game lead. We have clearly established ourselves as the team to beat in the IL.
