4-2 sim. Really loving this team. Offense is clicking, bullpen is solid.

We are garbage right now. Somewhere along the way our doom switch got flipped and we've been in a tailspin ever since. 13 straight road games coming up. This could get historically ugly real quick.

I don't know what to think of Raul Carbajal. He's been pretty bad the last month or so. Didn't see that coming although looking at his splits it's been a steady downhill fall.

The biggest factor is probably my bullpen, which has seen its ERA for the enitre season increase by more than a half a run in 1 month. Everyone other than Chad Mullen in the pen has routinely taken a container of kerosene to the mound with them for the past month. I'm hopeful that with the calendar switching over to September that things turn back in the right direction, but this thing is looking more and more like it peaked way early and just isn't going to be able to get it back.

I trade the farm for Theodore, he pitches like ass for two months, then tears his rotator cuff. Great.

1-5 for the Tobs. This is what I was expecting after I dealt away so many of our hitters. We aren't going to produce any runs with the team, but hopefully the guys we picked up will help us out in a couple seasons. Perhaps the only bright spots were Jonah McCarthy and Micah Beauregard. McCarthy put together a solid August and has hit pretty well since getting more consistent playing time.

Amazingly we're still only 2.5 games back, thanks to the terrible state of our division. Perhaps we'd be looking at a playoff spot had I not sold, but I'm still pretty happy with what I got in return. We weren't going far if we snuck into the postseason anyway.

September is here, Denver fans. September is here! Good riddance August. Going to put in my request for August to not exist next year. Andrew never listened; maybe Clay will.

                              2-4...

Still 4.5 back. Maybe Nickell's return this week can give us some sort of boost.
