Water eventually finds it's level and when Wallace plays 81 on the road I think he levels out some. I know the splits are what they are and can't knock a guy too much for playing the hand he was dealt... but he's not even a .900 OPS guy on the road. To me, you'd better be at least .900 to even be considered for the Stout Slugger. He'll likely be on my ballot barring a major crash... but at this point he won't bump Woodbury or Buzzell off the top of my ballot. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

4-2 sim.
Spear is my best friend in the whole world right now, as Davenport sweeps Denver then lays down at home for us as we sweep them. 1-2 vs Windy City to start the week with two 1 run losses. Carbajal is finding his stroke again and the pitching is holding steady. Need to get a couple bats healthy quick though, we don't have a lot of OF depth.Charlotte Knights - OSFL

My thing is that the kid only has 28 doubles, 3 triples and 23 home runs. But he's got almost 150 hits. If was leading the leading the league in doubles or home runs...i could see it. But he's got nearly 100 singles. He'll do that in any park.
He had a problem hitting against lefties, it wasn't the park. He's improved greatly since May against lefties, which is why he's playing every game now. He didn't do that in June. It is also a huge catalyst for our run over the last 1.5 months.
He also had a 21 game hit streak this year. He's actually pretty darn good.Last edited by Delandis; 07-28-2010, 08:44 AM.

SpoilerWashington Bats (76-42; 1st)
2-1 vs. Mississippi: W 4-3, L 1-11, W 3-2
3-0 vs. Hyundai: W 5-3, W 4-3, W 3-2
Very lucky to go 5-1. I got blown out in the one loss and won four 1-run games. My team isn't even playing well right now (statistically) but I'll take it.
The Good
-He won't ask for a lot of recognition but Caleb "Tigger" Alston deserves it. The fourth-year pro has bounced between Triple-A and the BLB for the last few seasons but he may have finally made his mark. Twenty games, 24.2 IP, so far, just one ER.
The Bad
-Maybe Tommy Lang just isn't very good. Acquired in a trade with Baltimore this off-season, I thought Lang was desperate for a change of scenery. My scout has always loved his ratings and thinks he can be a mid-rotation type. Well, Lang has really struggled the past two months. No way he pitches in the playoffs but I'll take the 5-7 innings of average play right now.
The Injured
-A hero returns! Roger Simonds has finally recovered from torn triceps. It's the first major injury of his career and according to my scout his arm isn't the same. I don't like to have a player lose his job, as closer, due to injury but Joe Alveraz has pitched too well to be removed. Simonds will be move to middle relief.
The Minors
-Double-A and Single-A clubs are in the playoffs and Triple-A is in first place. Here...we...go!
Next
-Three at Sin City. Three vs. Virginia. Two good teams. My squad is struggling. Wouldn't be surprised by a really bad week for DC.Last edited by Pat; 07-28-2010, 01:49 PM.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

I do, however, enjoy him fathering yet another 25 HR 100 RBI season. At age 33, he's getting better.
Oh, and Spear: I hate you.Denver Bulls
