5-2 in the utilities then I realized they were still broke. Oh well.

Batavia is still looking for a solid young hitters, OF or IF (except 1B). All picks plus Pateshall is on the block. The guy can really help a contender who needs a great SP.

Also all 3 minor league teams are in 1st place. Something to look forward to maybe? Naw...but it's nice to see.

Since the Burleson injury, Pawtucket...... 3-9!? Oh come on! He's not that important.

Thank god AllStar break is here. See what we can do in the second half and with a healthy team.

Can we go ahead and turn on the Awards utility so I can register my Stout Slugger vote for Woodbury? Good grief.

5-1 gets us back on top of the WC and within 3.5 of Denver in the Pilsner. First winning sim in a month or so. Hope this is the start of a nice run.

It would have been sub .500 if Curt Sheperd did not implode in Game 2 ;)

Not a bad season for a guy who missed two weeks. Legit Triple Crown threat and front-runner for third straight Stout Slugger. Again, very little solace when my team is playing awful... but it's always nice when the guys with the fat paychecks actually earn them. This season is not his fault.

2-4 and just we're just "slippin' away."

                          A couple of things.

                          1. We are really stinking up the joint. We aren't really bad, but we are definitely not good.

                          2. Campo is showing there is still a little life in the bat. He's hit six homers in July with a .302 average. I'll definitely take the moral wins where I can get them.

                          3. Don Castor had a 3-home run game in AAA last week and earned player of the week for the Future's Federation. I know he's just about ready to hit the bigs. Is it wrong for me to hold him off until next year so he can compete for Rookie of the Year?

                          4. Jorge Lorral and McMonies is looking to be a good trade for me. Abe....not so much. He's still pretty pissed that Carolina traded him. Hopefully, once next year comes around and I expand my park, he should be a nice #3 for a couple of years in Baltimore.

                          5. If I were JJG(Juan Jose Garcia), I'd be pretty pissed at our offense. He's incurred his 3rd loss where the offense didn't produce more than 2 runs, and has had his second 1-2 loss for the year (the third game being a 3-2 loss). I guess he should be happy he was selected as an All-Star in his first full year as a starter. I'm looking for good things from him over the next couple of years.

We had our own implosion against Sin City one game. Those are the breaks. :)

And in case no one was paying attention: Pedro Zamarida headed to the Las Vegas heat and chilled the crowd with the ferocity of whip lash air conditioning provided by Sin City pitchers as he hit 4 home runs and drove in 8 RBI in the series. After the game, he signed baseballs.
