          It's rare that I offer a contract of over three years to any player. I've seen too many players go from great to crap from one season to the next.

            This. This is also why the trade block is crowded with 30+ starters who aren't in the last year of big contracts. Given how sudden and how steep the decline is for players in this game, those 2nd and 3rd years are very risky propositions.

                          TJ was around for, literally, like a week. I could be totally wrong about this, but I thought HungryBalogna took over Denver for a few seasons after TJ's departure.
