    NEXT SIM: Thursday

    ***

No utility again tonight. It's jacked for me, but Andrew can't seem to replicate my issue. Plus, he's busy the rest of the week, so don't expect Utility all week.

Watch those Minor League rosters (reminder #3), another SIM where I had to stop because someone had 26 at some level.

Damn, I had 26 this sim. I was moving some guys around this sim and screwed up. Sorry about that Clay.

Ho hum. Another .500 sim, another game picked up in the DL wild card chase.

21-year-old Fabian Fresi makes his BLB debut and doesn't embarass himself, pitching into the 9th inning and giving up 4 ER. Hopefully he's here to stay because that's better than what I've been getting from the back end of my rotation recently.

Had a nice sim going until our 3 game debacle against Los Lunas.

Oh well, 2-4. No ground gained or lost in the wildcard.

I'd trade it all for a better team season... but Doorbell is having a historic season at the halfway point.

We went 2-4 in the first week of what's left of our team. Frank Hamlet had a big week to carry our offense. He's been getting better each month and could be a very good addition for someone.

For the rest of the season I'll be more focused on my minor league teams. Our #2 prospect (according to BA), 1B Pat Gates was named Player of the Week in AAA, going 15/27 (.556) with a HR. He's been killing the ball all season, starting in AA and just keeps getting better after the callup. He wasn't in the BA Top 100 to start the year and now is at #44, so that's encouraging though I have no plans to call him up to the majors this season. BA doesn't show any significant change but I like the talent in my system. Only time will tell how my players develop.

                1-5

                1-2 vs. Virginia
                0-3 vs. Morgantown

Getting swept by Morgantown was not the highlight of our season. We are happy our pitching has improved as of late but our hitting is still atrocious. Ednams is finally stepping it up and received POTW which was nice. Also we were happy to see CL Ken Bayer selected to his 3rd All-Star game.

                  3-3

                  1-2 vs. Virginia
                  2-1 vs. Morgantown

Lost Rodenas for about six weeks and any plans of "maybe" making the playoffs probably went down with him. Also, looks like the Bandits picked up Windley a week before me.

                  Damn.

Curt Rutledge has now picked up a hit in five straight pinch-hit at-bats (4 2B, 4 RBI). Not bad at all. I think the man has found a job in the pros.

                        Yuck.

There are only 3 teams with winning records in the IL.

We are obviously favorites to come out of the IL. I expect lots of awards as well, pencil me in for J Allard!

But... but... the IL is far superior to the DL.
