This will help us avoid some headaches should we ever have two GMs trying to sign the same coach/scout during the season.

I know it's rare that we'll have a coach/scout fired midseason, but it's still a good idea to have something in place.
I think that's a pretty good idea. During the season, make a thread and then it becomes a 1st come/1st served type thing and if for instance that coach/scout doesn't sign with the 1st team, the next team that requested him get's a shot.

I'm not gonna speak for him (well I am, but he can deny everything I say cause he has no idea I'm saying it) but there is a reason why Stu deleted the "coaches and scouts" forum...it's a pain in the ass for him.... I think that we can deal with this very small inconvenience to take one more thing off Stu's plate (which is overflowing already...that's not a fat joke....well, maybe it is). And really, if you don't have a manager, that just means you have to set lineups/rotations yourself for a sim or two, is that really that bad???

I think we were both referring to if someone happened to lose a coach/scout during the season, someone could just make a thread and let it be known that is who they are trying to sign so no one else tries to sign them. Stu wouldn't have to do a damn thing since we can sign personnel in game.

Exactly. This doesn't create more work for Andrew at all. It's just a way for everyone to be aware of who is signing who during the season. Besides, we'll hardly ever use it. I don't think anyone's hired or fired a coach midseason yet, we've just offered extensions.

I agree with the points made here, and like Sully said, this wont be a huge problem. I personally don't pay attention to my coaches, because there aren't any better alternatives out there. If a contract runs out, then I sign a new one, I see no reason to fire a coach midseason, unless a better coach just "shows up" in the FA pool.
