Thanks. It's a bit of a gamble because Nazaire really started smacking the ball when I moved him to DH two years ago, and bringing in Elliott moves Nazaire back into the outfield.Maine Guides

I don't see the gamble. Even if he had to platoon in a backup role at C, 1B, and DH, he is worth it and a significant upgrade.
I offered him something very, very similar. That asshole.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-

Fun SIM. Beat up on the Bats a little...though my ex-boy Carlton chokes us into submission in Game 2. Then had a really, fun and hard fought series with the Champs. Mel Woodbury looks like he could at least be in the conversation for a 3rd straight Stout Slugger (though way too early)... and Jayson McQueen, who would likely be Closing with the Herrera injury, looks like he may be our Staff ACE. K'd 12 Bats in Game 1... then had 6 (1 BB) against a good Maine team.
Also grabbed Jose Nunez off the scrap-heap for pennies. Not a major need, but can role in the #4 BP spot and let some of my young arms cook for another year.
I like my team. The Great One!
To many rings to count...

D.C. Bats (11-9; 2nd)
1-2 @ Virginia: L: 0-12, W: 5-1, L: 5-10
2-1 vs. Pawtucket: W: 4-3, W: 6-5, L: 1-4
I can live with a .500 week. Glad to get at least one in Virginia. Tough team especially at home. I actually lucked out getting two from the Patriots, they played very tough.
The Good
- Miguel Angel Padilla - Yes, MAP has power. He was only 3/22 this week, but two of those hits went over the fence. That gives him seven on the year and raises his slugging percentage to .610.
- R.A. Grounds - After an 8/24 week Grounds is now hitting .300 with a .729 OPS. Dude just continues to get it done.
- Martin Calrton - Did he get a stamina bump? His last two starts he has thrown 16 innings and given up just two ERs. He might not even match his '88 campaign but I think this season could be very special.
The Bad
- Derrek Tucker - I figured he would be erratic as a rookie. A few weeks ago, he shutout the Playboys. This week, he couldn't get out of the third inning against the Vagina Colonials. He did rebound in his next start against Pawtucket, but couldn't get run support.
The Injured
- Clint Johnston - Sore back. Out Two weeks. Good thing I get Abbott back this week.
What’s Next
Host the Whalers for three games. Day off. Then travel to visit Maine. Should be an interesting test.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
