Speaking of rushing pitchers to the show though, I guess I really burned out Jeff Franklin, huh? Although he flat out dominated as a 19-year-old rookie and was great for 3+ seasons thereafter before that torn labrum. It's hard to say I rushed him when he pitched that well, but maybe an inning cap would have served him well, I guess....

The injury did him in. An inning cap might have helped. Jistic seems to have success with that.

Yep, it was the injury. He was fine, having a good season. Then I think Latham and Tandy all were hurt towards the end of the year. Had a 12-15 game lead on Philly and lost the division.
I'll happily take Sau at 4. Scout had him up there. International, w/ high ceiling potentials and low actuals is the kind of risk you can take when you lose 100 games.
I did like Coates and Lim, actually figured one of them might drop to me at 4 if there was another position player someone really liked in the top 3.

Really happy with Angelo Martinez. He's a pretty advanced hitter, with a pretty high ceiling, according to my scout anyway. Good fielder. Has a nickname. Rated Very Popular, until he gets here of course.
I battled with myself over Martinez and Lim. My scout sees Lim as a potential Cy Young winner, but that control rating scares me. Plus, over the firesale we had last year, we've been able to stock up on some arms. Hitters are tough for me to develope for whatever reason, so we need to load up.
I look forward to him hitting just at or below .200 in his debut season, then all bets are off.
This kind of reminds me of the old OSFL drafts so far. Minus the "people going completely apeshit when other people don't pick fast enough" component, of course.
