To be fair, Spot's wife was ~8 months pregnant the last time he was his normally active self, and his dad is/was in the hospital.

Liquid has been very active... and Spot has a lot on his plate.

      I think things are fine.

        • I think everyone is drafting with the same scout. Love the Baltimore pick.

I don't think anyone I want will be available come 1.18. It's officially on the block.

Thank you sir. I think I went the Windy City route of the safe pick this year. Our 1st round pick from last year has already busted so I wanted to go with a kid that's a bit more proven.

BTW, I think this is the first year that feeder leagues is REALLY showing its impact. It is giving a clearer picture of clear good early choices and will leave the tougher picks in the later rounds. Much less crapshooting early in the draft.

            • Watching the draft so far, I can not wait to see what's left in the middle of round two.

              • Escamilla was the second best player left on my board.

                Solid pick!

The feeder leagues are finally doing what I think we'd really hoped for... not only do you now have a history with players... but I love that the sprinking in of INT players allows that internal debate of "safe pick with stats vs blind scouting report".

Fun draft. And I also agree that this is the first year we've been over 10 picks without a serious, serious reach.

Couldn't you argue that any international pick is a reach this early? At least, a risk.

I guess I should qualify that... first time there hasn't been a reach by MY scout. Also haven't seen a single post yet of "Whoa! That guy isn't even on my board!"

                      • Speaking of the feeder leagues, what's been the story in terms of players carrying their statistical performance from them into the BLB? There are a few guys with very questionable scouting ratings who really tore up the college circuit - have the stats or the ratings generally been more reliable in the long run?

I don't think we've had the system in place long enough to make any correlations.

Edit: At least based on performance in the amateur circuits.

It seems the guys I've drafted with bad stats but high rating potential have not panned out as of yet.

                            Purely anecdotal evidence, of course.

I guess everyone in the Porter likes Escamilla. He was top 8 on my board overall and same as Linty, 2nd best player left. And he was definitely the safest player left.
