Donny Mac is getting a chance to have a real impact on our team. He’s been named the closer coming out of ST. He’ll be given a chance much like the unproven Chad Mullen was last year to pitch in high leverage situations. We really want to see what sort of upside Mullen has as a starter and we think McNeill is ready enough to hold down the CL spot. If either fails, Mullen probably shifts back to CL and McNeill takes a less stressful position in the pen. We hope neither one forces that situation.

Ivan Marquez (2B)
Ivan Marquez was our 6th pick in the 8th round back in '85. The 25 year old, Colombian has great speed and can competently play any infield position. Not expected to become much by the Baltimore coaching staff, OSA has always been very high on his ability. He a smart and hard working kid, and that combination is likely what has allowed him to make it this far with his limited talent at the plate. We hope he continues to defy the odds.

This California kid hails from Bakersfield, CA and was selected as the 228th pick by Baltimore in the 1987 BLB Draft. With no eye-popping, offensive, minor league stats to back up his promotion to The Show, his one, undeniable, promotion-worthy ability comes in the form of SPEED. Arguably the fastest player in the BLB, McPherson will give Baltimore an extra pinch runner and defensive relief in center field for the aging legs of Takanibu Sato.Last edited by Delandis; 06-23-2010, 06:22 PM.

No exaggeration, this kid cried about playing in the BLB from the day we drafted him. We started him in A ball and he dominated, we promoted him to AA ball and he dominated. He truly believed he should have been in the league and with his performance through the first two weeks in the BLB, its hard to argue that he wasn't ready.

I have a similar guy in Jorge Rebeterano. 8-8-8-8-5. Never done much in the majors though. 4 for contact.
EDIT: Cristobal Sandoval in AA is 8-8-8-6-8. So I guess that fits Carlos' description.Charlotte Knights - OSFL
