    1. Fix the ballpark in the Off-season. I hate my stadium. I have no power hitters and my park is built for the longball.

    2. He does have a shit contract. That definately sucks. But, he is still relatively young, and pitching is hard to find?

    3. Why didn't you demote Nelson to AAA?

    4. Have you seen Harcourts contract? If you had him hitting in your national park, he wouldn't have anything close to the numbers he has in Phila. If he HAD resigned him for that much money, you would be more mad about that then Cafferty.

** It would be silly to spend that kind of money this off-season when I am moving into a real park next season. Plus, that doesn't change the fact that I had to play with it this season **

      2. He does have a shit contract. That definately sucks. But, he is still relatively young, and pitching is hard to find?

** If he prospers, in a few years he is going to be a bargain. But that doesn't change the fact that an 8 year extension in a joke **

      3. Why didn't you demote Nelson to AAA?

** I probably should have. But, by the time I realized that my team wasn't any good, half that season was gone. **

      4. Have you seen Harcourts contract? If you had him hitting in your national park, he wouldn't have anything close to the numbers he has in Phila. If he HAD resigned him for that much money, you would be more mad about that then Cafferty.

** Hartcourt put up decent numbers in the Virginia park in 1978. There's no saying he would not have been cheaper on an extension than his FA deal. The bottomline is, I can't see for the life of me what he saw as replacing his bat in the lineup **

Now back off and let a man vent.

        2. Cafferty is actually a pretty good pitcher. The only thing wrong with that contract is the length. Lucky for you, you can afford it with your budget. That would kill a team with a budget like mine.

        3. Everything with Nelson was too much, too soon.

        4. We thought the contract Harcourt received from Z was a joke. The numbers didn't justify the dollar amount. Well, we found out it was the ballpark. He's a helluva player.

**That is very true, but you don't HAVE to move the franchise, especially if you are worried about money. But ya, does suck to play in a stadium that doesn't fit your style, I have the same problem.**

          2. If he prospers, in a few years he is going to be a bargain. But that doesn't change the fact that an 8 year extension in a joke.

*Like Sully said, the length does suck. I mean, what if he gets hurt, and is never the same? You have him for a long time.**

          3. I probably should have. But, by the time I realized that my team wasn't any good, half that season was gone.

**Took you the middle of the season to figure that out? Are you going to try and start Nelson in AAA this year?**

          4. Hartcourt put up decent numbers in the Virginia park in 1978. There's no saying he would not have been cheaper on an extension than his FA deal. The bottomline is, I can't see for the life of me what he saw as replacing his bat in the lineup.

**Ya, it is tough to replace a guy like that, but I think if you had Cafferty and Harcourt on big contracts, you might lose your mind.**

Yes, there is a VERY good chance Nelson will start the season in Richmond.

I think this raises a very good point.

We should've been able to design our ballparks after the inaugural draft and then approved by the commissioner. That way, teams could have a ballpark that actually fit the identity of their team rather than being stuck with a stadium built prior to the arrival of the players.

I still can't understand why my stadium was allowed to be built as it was. It was modeled after a mushroom cloud for pete's sake.

That's why I think, for the good of the league, any stadium that has proved to be completely senseless should be allowed a redesign (within certain parameters).

And no diesel you dont' get a redesign. That stadium was designed almost exactly after the S.F. Giants stadium.

Originally I had restrictions on dimensions, but then I let Skerik build his (which is modeled after a real park, believe it or not) then everything went to hell. In conclusion, it's Skerik's fault. :D
