The Wilmington Wildcats made an unexpected announcement this morning that they would be bringing on rookie manager DookieMowf to manage their AAA ballclub starting with the 1981 season. The Wildcats have put together 3 winning seasons at the big league level, which includes a Stout division championship in 1979, and second place finishes in 1978 and 1980. Coach Dookie has been vocal about his aspirations to one day coach a club at the highest level, and sees the Memphis job as an oppurtunity to learn from one of the Brewers League's successful managers.
Ok, press release over. Dookie, I'm active, and I expect you to be too. I won't hesitate to take over if I notice you slacking off. I'd rather take someone under my wing that has little or no experience with the game. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I'll do my best to provide you with some quality players, and I expect you to do your best to put those players in a position to succeed. I'm sure we'll make it work out.
