I just did the "Import OOTP 2006 Game" and selected the world.dat file in my BLB folder. Works fine.

I'm also liking the Meet Demand option in the contract window. Makes it a lot easier. Shop player is really nice as well.

I'm really liking 2007 so far.

Andrew, with the new option to automatically try to demote a player before releasing them, shouldn't that be the rule? It's in the commish portal, and it's all automatic.

Working on it now. I can probably post it sometime tomorrow but it won't have facegen or updated logo's, etc.

I actually almost had it ready but there's a bug with the names database so had to start over. If you choose the "re-import names" option (which gets rid of the Giggas Gotay's, and Hrfdw Castro's) it instead creates a bunch of "Joe Nobody's".

It takes a LONG time to convert. The league is about 950 MB right now and that's after I deleted all the current player photos.

The first order of business when we convert is for everybody to delete the damn messages. We have over 13,000 each with a corresponding text file. This is a big reason the upload process is so slow because it takes so long to zip them.

What does creating an almanac do? I created one last night, but I have no idea what it did.

It saves the html reports for each year. So if you have it set to automatically create it will move them into a seperate folder so you can review all the reports (including box scores, leaders, etc) for each year. We'll definitely be using it but I'm not sure I still have the reports for 1979. I definitely have 1978 and 1980.

Here is a tentative offseason sim schedule:
1) End of Playoffs to Salary Arbitration (mid Nov) - This will give people a chance to release Arbitration eligible players and decline team options.
2) Salary Arbitration to Rule 5 Draft. The Rule 5 draft will be held at the end of this sim.
3) Free Agency. There will be 5, 3 day sims over the course of a week. This will take us to the second week of December. HTML may not be updated during this time.
4) Free Agency. Normal 7 day sims until Jan 1. The Draft Class will be published on Jan 1.
5) Jan 1 to Start of Preseason (early Feb)
6) Start of Preseason to Spring Training (early March)
7) The rookie draft will begin in the forums at the start of Preseason.
8 ) Spring Training will have two sims of 2 weeks each.

We're on step 4 now, right? Any chance we can do 4 sims a week until we get to pre-season to speed up the offseason?
