    Same thing with:

    Lavadie = $1.4mil
    Clapp = 1.85mil
    Lippincott = $1.91mil

    Clapp also went ahead and signed with Los Lunas after being released by LAM. What's up?

      My guess would be they got Auto Released because they weren't removed from DFA.

          I wasn't aware that Spot was AWOL or I could have done something.

            He didn't post it, but I saw something in another thread about him being "away".

              I can possibly "refund" him the money for the lost players, but I don't want to get into moving players around. Anyone heard if he's coming back?

                I think Matt was the one posting about him in the Catch All thread a couple of days ago. He was the last one to hear from him as far as I know. Personally, I would be onboard with the "refund" idea, but would wait to hear others' thoughts. Of course you can go all Bud Selig and use your "best interest" powers.

                  "Best Interest?" So that means Clay gets to do what he always does: nothing.

                  I have no problem with a refund considering it's very little money. It doesn't affect me and I doubt it affects anyone else.

                    I'm in the PCBL(another OOTP that Spot runs), and like Matt said Spot posted on Wed., with his dad in the hospital and, his wife 8 months pregnant, he's a bit tied up. He'll be back, just not exactly sure when.

                      I guess I should've been paying closer attention to the FAs. I went after Viret and thought I lost him after being signed the first time. Didn't go back through the FAs again after that since I had signed the other 2 guys I wanted.

                        And the busts come out in Batavia. I see that Cali has their scouting budget at $12 million...and I thought mine at $3 million was sufficient. Sickening.

                        LF Pete Merner 1st Round - 4th pick

                        -3 -3 -3

                        3B Loren Randall 2nd Round - 2nd pick

                        -2 -2 -3

                        MR Yann Martel 2nd Round - 10th pick

                        -2 -2 -2

                        SP Artie Abbott 3rd Round - 8th Pick (scout LOVED him)

                        -4 -1 -2

                          Don't give up on them... they may yet rebound.

                            Naw I'm keeping everyone...I don't have much of a choice.

                            I should have upped the scouting budget but I missed it again. Maybe next year.

                              Los Alamos Free Agents

                              Crap! I signed two Los Alamos Free Agents (Clapp and Viret). Clay, I have to give them back to LA. It didn't occur to me that they might have become free agents due to a missed DFA deadline. Given Spot's situation, I wouldn't feel right taking those players. Let me know if you need me to do anything to make this happen. Thanks!

                                Gyro = the reason we don't need to worry about the whole manipulating bonuses issue. Bravo sir. You're a gentleman and a scholar.
