Sweet! An extra 500 large just showed up in my Cash Reserve. It's like finding a wadded up $20 bill in an old pair of jeans.

Thank you IL Last Call winner Chad Mullen (and indirectly the WAS organization for sending him over in the Joe Alveraz deal).

He may just bounce back this year. You can always trade him back to Philly . . .for 10 cents on the dollar.

I'm just hoping that Mullen slows down a little bit. He started out really hot last year while Alveraz struggled out of the gate. A reversal of fortuuuune!

A little season sneak preview . . .Mullen is going to get a chance to start in ST. It may not work, but my scout (new and old) think he can start at this level. He doesn't have high indurance, but if I can find someone to fill the CL role adequately, he may have a lot more value in the rotation. We'll see. Can't wait for Monday and ST Sim #1!

A 3 stamina is going to get you 4.0 innings at the max. Might be good innings, but you'll want to make sure your pen is deep and talented on days he starts. The problem is in ST starters never go over 4.0 so you won't learn much.

I always saw him as a starter.

I have him at a 4 on stamina, but good point about ST stats and SP. As for my pen, I have so many arms there I may need to give some away.

Hey, look at me, I'm quoting myself. I show total league revenue for 1989 at:

                      Total League Rev: $2,060,229,320

                      Total League Rev+10%=$2,266,252,252

Avg Per Team (and new Tax Threshold) = $94,427,177

I'm not sure if MAI's playoff was doubled for winning it all, if not then the figures would change to:

                      Total League Rev: $2,065,085,868
                      Total League Rev+10%=$2,271,594,455

Avg Per Team (and new Tax Threshold) = $94,649,769

Either way, it's in the $94.5mil range. League revenue was down last year (1988 = $2,103,195,703). We need more wacky promotions to increase attendance.
