I won all my cases but didn't go down too much from what was already in there. The players demand a lot so I never want to risk losing the case.

We only had a few arb cases this year and they went about as expected. I non-tendered a useful arm due to budget issues (Ray Minnoz). He was scheduled to be awarded $4mil+ in arb and I was concerned he would get more if I lowballed it. I didn't think he was worth it, he apparently does as he appears to be asking for $8mil+ in FA. Good luck Ray!Philly Freedom

Nonetheless, I thought Quintero was way overpaid in arb. He got $5.5. I offered him $3.8, which is what Diaz got in his first year of arb, and his first year of arb was much stronger than Diaz.
The interesting part is I won Diaz's arb and got him in at $5.0. So, Quintero is now making more than my superstar closer. Maybe he has Boras as his agent?Dallas Snappers

What I do like to see, is the fact that he continues to grow as a hitter. In 1987 his first full year as a starter he saw 3.78 PA/AB, 1988 it grew to 3.83 and then in 1989 it is now 3.89.
His slugging follows a similar pattern. 1987 - .350/ 1988 - .421/ 1989 - .497
Having said all of that... I expect him to probably hit around .280/.375/.450 next year with about 40 2B's and 6-7 HR's.
He's probably just had his career year... but that doesn't mean he can't be useful going forward.California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013

I won all of my cases except one, though the game always gives the player credit if you both agree on the number.
Anyway, Dane Browning got his pay day. Dollars must be fluctuating up (which is all right) because Pedro Zamarida won less than $7 MM back in 1982 despite having much better overall numbers.
I offered Browning $6.5 MM which was up about $1 MM from the suggested dollar value. I thought he could never go higher than Zam. Guess I was wrong.
$8.5 MM. Wow. Oh well, the team played .650 baseball the day he came back so he must have had one hell of an arbitration case.Denver Bulls

But for him, more like .280/.360/.440. Hopefully 50 2B's and 6-7 HR's.

Hey guys,
When is the last time I can cut a player without his salary counting towards next year? He's in automatic renewal for 1990.
