You can review the Rule V Draft Pool in game (top menu bar, BLB - > Rule 5 Draft Pool)

If you see any of the players that you are willing to commit to carrying on your 25 man roster all year, you can submit that name on your draft list to the commish via PM. You have to have a spot on your 25 and 40 man rosters to make a selection.

If a team with a worse record than you also selects that player they get first dibs. If you are the first team record-wise to select that particular player, you get that player.

There's a $50k charge for each Rule V selection you make. You have to keep that player on your active roster all season or return him to the original team. You'll have to pick up the full season's salary if you return the player.

      That's pretty much it.

I wish we had some sort of thread that acted like a rumour mill. I'm always interested in everybody's team needs and who intends to resign who.

Unless everybody is too secretive for an idea like that? I know I wouldn't have a problem with it.

The Colonials will not be participating in Free Agency again this year. Our payroll is sufficient. Would love to bring in another arm to cover for Herrera this season, but I think I have enough horses to stay in it without one. I tend to make my hay in drafts and trades anyway.

The Bats definitely have some holes to fill. Closer, probably two starting pitching spots, 1B/3B...not a lot of money to address those needs however.

How did everyone feel about their arbitration? I won all of my cases. Seeing some of the contracts that got dished around the league, I feel OK with what I paid.

Virginia Colonials: MR I. Pérez received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $4,700,000.
Virginia Colonials: MR A. Montgomery received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $420,000.
Virginia Colonials: CL J. McQueen received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $4,700,000.
Virginia Colonials: SP P. Herrera received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $6,900,000.
Virginia Colonials: RF A. Rhodes received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $420,000.
Virginia Colonials: 2B C. Martínez received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $420,000.
Virginia Colonials: LF J. Tracy received a 1-year contract through arbitration worth a total of $420,000.

                        Was Simonds demanding too much?

I may look to bring him back for a year or two, especially after the departure of Doug Jones.

He wanted a lot. After my initial offer, which was low according to his demand, he said he would test FA.

I feel good about my arbitration. Some players, Mike Murdock and Miguel Angel Padilla, are getting paid less this year than last year, which is nice.

Same. Our budget is pretty much maxed out. We might be players next year after Corrigan and Tilbrook come off the books but it seems like any extra money I have always goes into re-signing my players.
