In a brash move today, P.E.T.S.L.C. leader and head financial backer of the Salt Lake City baseball movement, David Lint issued a statement to the press saying "I do not welcome the competition posed by Memphis and Charlotte" and that "I wish those two bullies would just go away..."
Lint also noted that if Salt Lake was not picked to be one of the four expansion clubs of the BLB he would have a "hissy fit" and boycott barbeque for the rest of life. He did not have a complaint for the Charlotte bid, but had this to say, "Charlotte? Where's that? In North Carolina? They have running water now? Clearly this is the 1980's and the wave of the future is Mormonism. As if Charlotte could ever hold a pro team... I mean what would would they call it, the Panthers? HA... The Carolina Panthers... what a joke that would be."
When asked to comment further on his harsh words Lint rushed to his waiting De Lorean DMC-12 and mumbled something about having to catch "The Shining" with a hot date.
