  • 1989 Off-Season Schedule (Tentative)

Have you officially made the switch to all midday sims or was that just table talk? Thanks!

I know this offseason schedule is better than it used to be, but what's the point of offseason 2? Is there anything going on then?

Also, quite a ways back, there was a season where Andrew did the first couple FA signings where he simmed 3 days in a row. That was really nice to help speed up the offseason. Just trying to think of ways to speed up the offseason a little more.

Offseason 2 is so you can see who's Rule V eligible, and so you can put men on the 40 man.

We need that second offseason sim because once you find out who accepted or did not acccept arbitration, it gives us that extra sim to figure out the 40-man roster and what spots you need to fill before the Rule V Draft.

That was with 6+ free agency sims though. If you simmed 3 days in a row with only 4 sims somebody could miss all of FA pretty easily. I think the current schedule works very well.

How does everyone feel about the off-season schedule so far? We're more than halfway through the off-season already with baseball (albeit Spring Training) only 6 days away.
