Well, Syracuse helped make that last four game homestand rather dull.

          1-6

What a crappy way to end a promising 2nd half. Bayer closed the season out right by having a 19.29 ERA the last week and a 3.06 on the year. I'm sure he'll suffer a rating drop due to the All-Star game debacle.

The year can be summed up as too many errors on defense and too many walks by our pitchers.

Hilariously predictable. Congrats to Davenport as the Tobs finish 1 game back for the 4th time.

Everyone on my team is on the trade block.

You guys definitely have an abundance of good, young offensive talent. The future is bright on that side. Now, about that pitching . . . you'll get there.

I do see some "average starters" coming, but the bullpen is a complete , utter disaster. Some offseason deals might help.

                      Woo hoo! Pilsner division champs!

First time in the playoffs at SGN. I literally high fived my wife after watching the game when I clinched. Partly because I was excited, but mostly because I was hoping to annoy the hell out of her. Congrats to all the other playoff teams.

edit - wow, just saw 7-0 sim. Nice ending, and kinda cool to get to 100 wins. Got some tough decisions to make for the playoff roster.

So... to be clear... players had to have been on the 40 man prior to Aug 31 to be on playoff roster, correct?

And, I just noticed Frank Rancourt is out for the rest of the year. Probably my favorite guy in my organization. Sweet.

I blame Clay for my team missing the playoffs. Clay's preseason predictions said my team would win it all, but prefaced it by saying 'barring major injuries.' It's like he put my entire team on the cover of an EA game in attempt to sabotage the team.

That's the only way I can rationalize what happened to my team this season...I've never seen anything like what happened to my team. Players who are currently hurt (and who were all out for a significant amount of time) include my top 2 SP, starting SS, starting 2B, and my top 2 relievers....

                            <table class="lposhadow" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="632"><tbody><tr class="headline"><td class="hscl">Player</td><td class="hscl">Injury</td><td class="hscl">Out for...</td><td class="hscl">Disabled List Status</td></tr> <tr><td class="slg">SS Joe Molenza</td><td class="slg">strained hamstring</td><td class="slg">7 weeks</td><td class="slg">Not on DL</td></tr> <tr><td class="sl">P Joe McMonies</td><td class="sl">shoulder inflammation</td><td class="sl">5-6 months</td><td class="sl">53 day(s) left (60-day DL)</td></tr> <tr><td class="slg">2B ngelo Rodrguez</td><td class="slg">shoulder soreness</td><td class="slg">one week</td><td class="slg">On DL, eligible for return</td></tr> <tr><td class="sl">P Denver Brode</td><td class="sl">shoulder inflammation</td><td class="sl">3-4 months</td><td class="sl">32 day(s) left (60-day DL)</td></tr> <tr><td class="slg">P Dae-hee Yi</td><td class="slg">torn labrum (Shoulder)</td><td class="slg">4 weeks</td><td class="slg">On DL, eligible for return (60-day DL)</td></tr> <tr><td class="sl">P Enas Sanchez</td><td class="sl">strained hamstring</td><td class="sl">6 days</td><td class="sl">On DL, eligible for return</td></tr></tbody></table>

On top of that, my starting CFer was out most of the season and Guzman was out for a month.

Ok, I'll stop by bitching now. Good season...congrats to Syracuse...they're a scary good team with a lot of youth. I think this was my last shot for a while to win the Pilsner. I think they'll own the division for at least the next 3-4 seasons. Hopefully they can win us a championship.
